The whole system, out in the open

Kindness, routed like clockwork.

You give from anywhere. We verify a neighbour referred by their community, match them to a shop already in their area, and deliver dignity through familiar commerce.

The journey

From a whispered referral to a quiet collection.

Six steps. Every one designed so the person receiving help is the last to feel it as help.

  1. 01

    Someone trusted speaks up

    A neighbour is referred.

Someone trusted in the community, a health volunteer, a church, a chief, tells us about a person who needs help. Our team verifies and onboards them. Nobody signs themselves up.

  2. 02

    One-of-a-kind code

    A unique code is created.

The system generates a one-of-a-kind collection code for them. If they have a phone, it arrives by SMS. If not, the person who referred them hands it over, help designed for people the digital world forgets.

  3. 03

    You give, from anywhere

    You give.

From Nairobi, Mombasa, or abroad, medicine or food, any amount, via M-Pesa or card. You won't know their name. They won't know yours. That's what makes it wema.

  4. 04

    Routing happens quietly

The system finds the nearest shop.

We automatically match their location to a verified vendor in their area that stocks what your gift covers, a PPB-verified chemist for medicine, a trusted duka or mama mboga for food.

  5. 05

    Familiar commerce, not charity

    They walk in and collect.

No queue, no forms, no fare to town. They show the code at a shop they already know and walk out like any other customer.

  6. 06

    The loop closes

You hear the quiet good news.

The vendor confirms the collection, the shop is paid, and you get a notification: your kindness was collected, anonymised to protect their identity. Real help, verified end to end.

The roles

Three roles. One quiet exchange.

Mfadhili illustration

Mfadhili the giver, anywhere in the world

You choose the cause (medicine or food) and, optionally, a county. You never see a name or a shop. You give. You get a quiet confirmation when it lands.

Jirani illustration

Jirani the neighbour in need

Referred by their community, verified by us, protected by anonymity. They walk into a shop they already know, show a code, and collect.

Kituo illustration

Kituo the verified local shop

A PPB-verified chemist or vetted duka in the neighbourhood, matched automatically. Paid for every confirmed collection. Zero cash handling.

Behind it all: referrers who vouch, and our team who verifies every person, shop, and collection.

Why this design

Every choice removes a cost.

Fare, exposure, leakage, the three quiet costs that make traditional help hurt. We built the system around removing them.

No wasted fare

Help is collected minutes from home, never a bus ride and a lost day away. The shop was always there; we just point kindness at it.

No exposure

Recipients are customers at a familiar shop, never a public list. Donors never see identities, and the shop never announces anyone.

No leakage

Funds are held for specific goods at verified shops and released only on confirmed collection. No cash ever moves to a recipient.

Verification & trust

Verified at every seam.

PPB-verified chemists

Every chemist is licensed by the Kenya Pharmacy & Poisons Board. We check the registration number, not just the shop front.

Vetted food vendors

Dukas and mama mbogas are physically verified by our team or a trusted local partner before they can fulfil a single collection.

Admin-verified referrals

Every referred person is contacted, verified, and onboarded by our team. Nobody enters the system anonymously.

Confirmed collections

Funds sit in escrow with the Kituo and release only when a collection is confirmed at the counter.

Mechanics

The small print, in plain English.

The dignity thesis stays even when things go sideways: the recipient walks in as a customer, never a case.

The Kituo swaps for equivalents from the same list, another 500g brand of sugar, an equivalent generic medicine. If nothing works, your credit is either refunded or routed to another verified shop nearby within 48 hours.

Someone was referred today

Be the reason they collect tomorrow.

You choose the cause. We handle the rest, the verified shop, the code, the quiet handover. All you'll receive back is the news that it landed.
